The ancient land of Abyssinia, today is known as Ethiopia, is the place where coffee originated. Coffee got its name after the Kingdom of Kaffa, where, according to the legend, the use of coffees to create a delicious drink was first discovered.

Man’s love affair with coffee began in Ethiopia’s Kaffa region, where the coffee plant was first discovered. Kaffa is located on the Ethiopian highlands, one of the most fertile regions of Africa
It is said that in 6th Century Ethiopia, a goat herder named Kaldi stumbled upon his wandering flock as they sampled berries from nearby bushes. Ordinarily sluggish, his goats had an unusual amount of energy. After tasting several seeds himself, Kaldi discovered that the berries were the cause for the increased energy. It wasn’t long before coffee beans and their stimulating effect traveled the world. coffees first traveled to Yemen and from there, spread throughout the entire Arabic world! Venetian traders brought it to Europe from the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century, and a couple of centuries later, the whole continent fell in love with the aromatic beverage!
It is hard to talk about coffee without mentioning Ethiopia or its coffee history. After all, Ethiopia is one of the most popular coffee origins of the world – the nation is the motherland of all Arabica coffee.

Our company has 8 washing stations where we process coffee in dry and wet methods using a modern warehouse in Addis Ababa equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for sorting and banging.
In September 2020, we opened the company wubeSHEPHERD GmbH in sindelfingen Germany, to reach our customers in Europe. We want to deliver our products in shorter times with farer prices.
Our company also guarantee that our customers get the products genuinely and traceable.
We are trained and mastered in the whole process of coffee from farm to cup. Experimenting and defining different aromas, fully controlled supply-chain and our modern facility allows us to deliver our customers sustainably high-end products all the time.
